Provincials

This weekend I had gone to Huntingdon to bowl in the YBC provincials to qualify to go to the Nationals in May. There were 7 other girls who i had to compete against. I did not think it would be that difficult but I was wrong. One of the other girls started off strong and i did not. I bowled like crap (981 for 5 games), but i ended up WINNING by 3 pins at the end. I was very nervous but I did it!

I also made the CTF provincials to qualify to go to another nationals in May as well. So for the YBC I am going to Edmonton, Alberta and for the CTF I am going to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

This is the first time i made CTF and YBC in the same year, 2 years in a row =)

May will be one heck of a busy month! The beginning of May is the YBC, the middle is Team Trials to qualify to be on Team Canada and then the end is the CTF.

Tournament of the Americas '07

Finally some good news! I really thought i wouldnt be able to go to the Tournament of Americas in Florida because that girld had beat me out of 2nd. Little did i know that they arent sending the younger category to this tournament so that means she's too young to go into the older category. Yesterday I get an email saying that I have to tell them if im attending T of A or not. My first instinct was to reply back to them saying that its not me and its actually the other girl who beat me. I was gonna do that when my coach calls up my mom to tell her that im actually going instead. My mom asks if i got the email and i said yes and then shes like so? WOW did i have the biggest smile on my face. I couldnt believe it! Now i have to save up as much money as possible and maybe even do fundraisers for it! Its gonna be so awesome because ive never been to Florida. My parents will come with me if they get the time off of work. My bowling partner Mathieu will come with me no matter what because he made it as well and it will cost cheaper if we share the costs. He's a cool kid. If my dad comes then him and Mathieu could take turns and drive all the way there, if not we will be flying. Its from August 11-18 so im really excited for those days to come!! =D
